FfD Forum

Since their inception in 2016, the annual ECOSOC Financing for Development (FfD) Forums have been pivotal in promoting the discussion and implementation of the global financing framework established by the Addis Ababa Action Agenda. The Civil Society Financing for Development Mechanism has been actively present in all of them.

General information about the Forums

 These forums gather international stakeholders including member states, international organizations, civil society, and the private sector to drive progress on financing sustainable development. Since their inception, the Civil Society Financing for Developing Mechanism has been the official facilitator of Civil Society within the Forums.

Each forum typically focuses on reviewing the Addis Ababa Action Agenda's implementation, addressing new and emerging issues, and adapting the global financial system to support sustainable development effectively.
