About the Forum
The FfD4 Civil Society Forum is an integral part of the programme of the Fourth Conference on Financing for Development – as in all previous FfD Conferences - and is essential to the conference accountability, ambition and democratic nature.
The Forum is being organized by the Civil Society FfD Mechanism in close cooperation with the national, regional and local CSO coordination platforms in Spain, also active members of the Mechanism. It will be open to all interested civil society organizations, independently from their status with the UN system.
It will provide an essential opportunity for engagement to all civil society organizations, social movements and other groups, including those that may learn of the conference late and those that may not have full accreditation to the UN system. The Forum is therefore of fundamental importance to connect the official process with the local, regional and national social fabric.
Forum Format & Accessibility
The Forum will be primarily comprised of plenary sessions given the logistical challenges induced by the expected large attendance. The Forum will feature simultaneous interpretation in English, Spanish and French.
It will also be possible to follow the Forum from remote thanks to the livestreaming of the event (link forthcoming).
Civil Society Mobilization 📢
Join the mobilization! Civil Society Mobilization #FfD4People
The Forum will be complemented by a collective public mobilization in the evening of Sunday, June 29th. Several other initiatives and cultural events will also be organized in Sevilla by individual civil society organizations and groups.
