Letter: Elements of Concern on Civil Society FfD4 Forum in Sevilla
The Coordination Group of the Civil Society Financing for Development (FfD) Mechanism has issued an open letter expressing serious concerns regarding the planning and organization of the Civil Society Forum ahead of the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4), scheduled to take place in Sevilla on June 28–29, 2025.

The letter highlights the exclusion of the Civil Society Forum from the official conference framework, the lack of early coordination and logistical support, and the disproportionate prioritization of the Business Forum. It also raises urgent issues related to visa accessibility for Global South participants. The Coordination Group calls on the UN and Member States to uphold inclusive participation and ensure that civil society is recognized as an essential stakeholder in the FfD process.
