FIRST ROUND OF SELECTION COMPLETED. DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION FOR SECOND ROUND OF SELECTION EXTENDED TO WEDNESDAY APRIL 6 – 2PM CET

The inaugural FfD Follow-up Forum will take place in New York, USA, on April 18-20. It will be preceded by a full-day CSO Preparatory Meeting on Sunday, April 17.

In order to ensure adequate participation by civil society, the CSO FfD Group managed to raise some limited funds and additional resources are being made available by the UN DESA Financing for Development Office. However, it is expected that these funds will not be sufficient to sponsor all interested participants and a selection process is therefore required. The following criteria will apply:

  • The available funding will be primarily devoted to seek the greatest possible geographic balance, ensure gender balance and seek participation of under-represented constituencies;
  • The available funding will also be allocated taking into consideration track record of engagement in the FfD process and interlinked policy domains as well as related expertise/knowledge.

The Addis Ababa CSO Coordinating Group (ACG) is currently establishing a small selection committee that will screen all applications and propose the allocation of available funding. The larger CSO FfD Group will be provided with the final ranking and proposed allocation for its final review on a no-objection basis.

Should you confirm your interest to attend the FfD Follow-up Forum and apply for some of the limited funds available, please complete the following form by no later than FRIDAY, APRIL 1, 6PM CET. The Committee will review all applications and finalized the ranking by Monday, APRIL 4 COB CET.
