2019 ECOSOC Forum on FfD Follow-up: Roadmap

Here a comprehensive update on the preparations for the 2019 FfD Forum (April 15-18, NY HQ):

The 2019 FfD Follow-up Forum is fast approaching. Please find here the Concept Note and revised draft outline of the Forum programme for your easier reference. If you plan to attend, make sure you complete your registration for the official FfD Forum as the March 29 deadline is fast approaching (please visit this page for more information);
As previously announced, the Permanent Representatives of Italy and Zambia have been appointed to co-facilitate the negotiations for the FfD inter-governmentally agreed outcome. Please find here the roadmap for the negotiations. Pooja will soon be updating the groups on the collective advocacy framework and the upcoming plans for our policy dialogues and advocacy activities;
As per past “traditions”, the FfD Coordination Group (ACG/RRG) sent an official letter to the President of ECOSOC, the Co-Facilitators and the FfD Office on civil society’s expectations on the Forum and the modalities for engagement. Please find it here for your information and review;
The civil society preparatory meeting will take place on Sunday, April 14 (full day), while the civil society follow-up meeting will take place in the morning of Friday, April 19. Please consider these additional commitments as you plan your travel. The registration for these pre and post meetings will soon be shared (we would like to avoid confusion with the official Forum registration);
In accordance to past practice, the FfD Coordination Group is applying for six collective civil society side events (please visit the dedicated page). Once they are accepted by the UN FfD Office, you are all invited to engage with the preparations of the side events in the respective workstreams;
In preparation for the FfD Forum, all those interested are invited to engage with the working teams for each of the FfD Pillars as these will also ensure proper organizing of the side events.
