Update on the 2018 FfD Forum (April 23-26, NY) preparations for review and follow-up:
- The 2018 FfD Follow-up Forum is fast approaching (please find attached the latest draft of the Forum programme). If you plan to attend, make sure you complete your registration for the official FfD Forum as the April 6 deadline is fast approaching (click here for more information on civil society registration);
- The civil society preparatory meeting will take place on Sunday, April 22 (full day), while the civil society follow-up meeting will take place in the morning of Friday, April 27. The latter will be organized jointly with the CSO Partnership for Development Effectiveness (CPDE), which will also have its own working session. Please make sure you register for the civil society pre and post meetings by clicking here and completing the registration form;
- The co-facilitators (Jamaica and Portugal) have just released the Zero Draft of the FfD Forum Outcome (attached for your easier reference), which is pretty uninspiring. The Rapid Response Group (RRG) is putting together an initial response and you are welcome to provide comments and suggestions, possibly by no later than Wednesday, March 28 (start of the negotiations – see road map attached);
- In accordance to past practice, the FfD Coordination Group applied for six collective civil society side events (please find them here). We are now waiting for confirmation of their acceptance by the UN FfD Office. Once approved, you are all invited to engage with the preparations of the side events in the respective workstreams;
- In preparation for the FfD Forum, we are now proceeding with the re-establishment of working teams for each of the FfD Pillars that will also ensure proper organizing of the side events.
