Civil society organisations have raised several concerns regarding their space to intervene in the two Financing for Development Informal Substantive Sessions in November and December 2014. There is also a risk that civil society space to engage in the sessions to negotiate the outcome document of the Third Financing for Development Conference in July 2015 starting in January might be constricted. A sign-on letter has therefore been launched to collect signatories from across civil society, whether specifically engaged in the Financing for Development process or beyond. The letter will be shared with UN Missions in January when modalities for the negotiation sessions are being discussed.
You can read the letter here.
Please sign the letter and encourage other organisations to also sign on.
NB: The window for signing on this letter closed on January 8, 2015. A final version of the letter that is to be sent to the co-chairs can be found here.
I fully support this effort.

it is an extremely important initiative. We need to spread the word as much as possible!

I sincerely believe that this initiative should lead to a more transparent and participatory forum within the UN engaging all stake holders in deciding financing for development is more engaging and robust leading to positive outcomes for the most needy and vulnerable.
